Crockpot Pizza

Crockpot Pizza

I'm totally taking you guys along for a first time experiment! I'll add in the notes what I would do differently next time.

Heres all of the ingredients I used, plus my 6 quart slow cooker.

(P.S. I have a cousin that works at the Tones factory and its the best thing ever...everytime I see my Aunt I get a bag full of goodies!
We've gotten so many good seasonings like this Italian one.
Last time I got Sprinkles! - Those of you that know me well know I LOVE cookie cutters and sprinkles😂)

I had these parchment paper sheets on hand and it was the perfect size for the crockpot, you can easily cut your own or spray the crockpot with a cooking spray.

I sprinkled a little flour on the parchment paper, laid out both of the packages of of dough and sprinkled with a little more flour before shaping it into an oval.
Then I placed it in the crockpot and finished shaping it.
It doesn't need to be perfect, just get your edges higher than the middle.

I added half a cup of the sauce to a bowl and mixed in some seasonings before spreading on the bottom of the pizza.

Then I just layered cheese, pepperoni, dropped a little bit of the sauce, more cheese, a little more sauce, and sprinkled some of the Italian seasoning on the top.
You could totally change up the ingredients or what order you put them in, whatever works for you!

I set the crockpot on high for 1 1/2  hours and put a tea towel over the top to help with moisture while its cooking.

And the finished product!

Ingredients:
  • 2 packages pillsbury classic pizza dough
  • 1/2 cup pizza sauce
  • 1/2 cup shredded mozzarella
  • 1/2 cup pizza blend
  • 1/2 cup fresh mozzarella
  • 1/4 cup feta
  • 15-20 pepperonis
  • Seasonings
Directions
  1. Start by sprinkling Flour on your parchment paper
  2. Spread out both rolls of dough and shape into an oval
  3. Place in crockpot and finish shaping
  4. Mix seasonings in with pizza sauce and spread on the bottom
  5. Layer cheese, pepperoni, a little sauce, more cheese, a little more sauce and sprinkle the top with seasoning
  6. Set crockpot to 1 1/2  hours on high and cover with a tea towel
  7. Let sit for a 5 - 10 minutes to cool
  8. Cut and serve - Since the crust was so thick I served with some of the tomato sauce to dip.
CLICK TO PRINT RECIPE!

This made 4 pieces of pizza.

Notes:
Next time I would either cut the crust in half and only use one tube of dough or add more toppings and make it more a deep dish style pizza.

Cost:
It was about $20 to buy all of these ingredients, aside from the dough you would have enough ingredients left to make at least 1-2 more pizzas, I'm going to use mine to make a pizza pasta freezer meal so all said and done it will be cost effective for me.

If you're trying to make this on a budget you wouldn't need to buy the fresh mozzarella or feta as those ones are little pricier! (But they're so delicious so I would totally recommend it)

National Peanut Butter Day

In honor of National peanut butter day coming up this Sunday the 24th, I thought I would share my favorite  peanut butter recipes from the blog.  I don’t know about you, but I never need an excuse for peanut butter, BUT I do love using these National (insert whatever here) day as a fun way to celebrate some of my favorite things.  To start us off I’ll share my favorite first! This is a little generic and certainly not all about peanut butter but my favorite is definitely  Chocolate Nobake Cookies (with peanut butter of course). And now for the rest in really no particular order because I couldn’t possibly decide between them all🤷‍♀️. Peanut blossoms   Peanut butter cookies Peanut butter sandwich cookies Peanut butter bars -  Chocolate peanut butter bars   Chocolate scotcheroos  Chocolate peanut butter fudge  Peanut butter cups  Chocolate peanut butter pie  Peanut butter popcorn And lastly...if you want peanut butter but with a li...

Instant Pot Spaghetti

Instant Pot Spaghetti  Start by turning your instant pot to the sauté function, adding some olive oil and then once the screen says HOT add your hamburger and brown.  All of the spices I used. Once the hamburger is browned Turn the instant pot off. Once I turned the instant pot off I added the noodles, crisscrossing the noodles so they don't clump. Next I added the spaghetti sauce, water, and spices.  Then set the instant pot to manual for 10 minutes and did natural release. And finished product!  I turned the instant pot off, put the lid back on and let it cool a little once I mixed everything together. I used this for freezer meals. I was able to get 7 1 1/2 cup servings. I let these cool and then put them in the fridge and waited to put them in the freezer until the next day so it was completely cooled. Ingredients: Olive Oil 1 lb hamburger 2 jars pasta sauce 1 16oz box angel hair noodles 1 cu...

In honor of Crohn’s and Colitis awareness week I thought I would finally share an update on my health journey.

Highlands (Song of Ascent) O how high would I climb mountains If the mountains were where You hide O how far I’d scale the valleys If You graced the other side O how long have I chased rivers From lowly seas to where they rise Against the rush of grace descending From the source of its supply In the highlands and the heartache You’re neither more or less inclined I would search and stop at nothing You’re just not that hard to find So I will praise You on the mountain And I will praise You when the mountain’s in my way You’re the summit where my feet are So I will praise You in the valleys all the same No less God within the shadows No less faithful when the night leads me astray You’re the heaven where my heart is In the highlands and the heartache all the same O how far beneath Your glory Does Your kindness extend the path From where Your feet rest on the sunrise To where You sweep the sinner’s past O how fast would You come running If just to shadow me through the night Trace my step...
