As we go into summer and my hair has grown out, I find there are days I don't just want a simple ponytail but I really don't want my hair on my neck either. So I've been experimenting with some fun updos, when my hair was longer last time (7+ years ago) and I was still doing hair, I loved to play around with cute updos when I needed my hair out of my face.  I'll be real, I don't have the strength in my arms like I used to aand I've definitely lost my touch but the more I play the more it comes back and well, hopefully my strength will come back too. lol. As I continue to do these quick styles I'll start documenting them to share with you and hopefully give you some inspiration for yourself! Favorites - Hair Products I'm starting a new little "series" Once a month I'm going to do a post on some of my favorite things, whether its hair and beauty products, clothes, cleaning products, foods, etc. To kick off this series I'm going to start with my favorite hair products. I decided to pair brands together to keep it a little more simple for you!  Now first things first...I'm sure you've been told this (probably by me) but DO NOT buy hair products from Walmart, target, TJ Max, etc....It is NOT the same thing you get from a salon!  My mom actually did it years ago when Walmart started carying "Paul Mitchell" products, and guess what...It wasn't the same as what she got from our stylist. Ulta, Sephora, Beauty Brands, places like that are fine, but I recommend buying from your stylist, they put the work into picking out the right products for you so I'm sure they'd appreciate your business😊. I am so in love with this quote. I feel so great after getting my hair done, It just lifts your spirits and as a stylist it makes us feel great making people feel good about themselves. I know we all struggle with this...I've had so many clients have trouble explaining to me what they're going for when they were sitting in my chair, The key for the stylist is to ask lots of questions to make sure you're on the same page. Sometimes they don't do that though so I'm going to give you a few tips on how to get across what you want! The biggest thing is bringing pictures with you, BUT you don't want too many either that can confuse both of you. Bring 2-4 max.  I usually end up doing that for cut and then finding others for color, thats ok.
