Weekly Recap September 16th-22nd

Weekly Recap September 16th - 22nd

Sunday was a pretty lazy day, we watched Breakfast Club for the first time! I know I know I'm sure you're all shocked that neither one of us had seen it before...I'm going to be totally honest with you, I didn't love it, Joe says its because I didn't go to public school cause he liked it😆.

Some morning cuddles💙💙 and Deegans face kills me😆😆.

Joe went hunting later in the day with his brother and was gone for a few hours, Deegan spent 90% of the time he was gone right here watching for him to come home, he is so sweet!

Monday was infusion day, its always right in the middle of the day so unless we run errands afterwords theres not much we do other than that.

These photos basically sum up my Monday and Tuesday💙💙.

Wednesday I did a little cleaning and cut a couple family members hair, then I finished up a couple projects you'll see coming soon!

I also finished up this pumpkin sign thats available on my Etsy shop now!

For dinner I made Grilled cheese with turkey deli meat added and Joe got a couple things hung up for me in the living room, I am seriously loving the way this little corner is turning out with the photo on the left!

Thursday when I got up I ran to the grocery store and then ended up meeting my Uncle for a late breakfast.
Once I got home from that I made up some rice in the instant pot for our dinner Friday and Saturday and then did a quick haircut on my dad. In the afternoon I got some work done on the blog and got my Etsy page up and running.

For dinner I through together a crockpot pizza for the first time and oh my gosh was it delicious!

The under eye circles were out in full force on Friday...one of the many perks of being on Prednisone, I think I got 8 hours of sleep between Wednesday and Thursday Night😑.

BUT on a super exciting note...When I woke up Friday morning it was only 62 degrees! I whipped open those windows, went straight to the sweater section of my closet and whipped out my favorite uggs💜💜.

I did some cleaning in the afternoon and did some blog work on the computer.

For dinner I whipped together some stir fry, I'd already made the rice in the instant pot so all I had to do was heat up some stir fry veggies and chicken, we get both of them from Costco for a great price and then I showed what seasonings and sauces we use!

Friday night we had a date night and went and saw the movie My ex Boyfriend the Spy - Oh my gosh if you get the chance go see it! We haven't laughed that hard  at a movie in a long time and even talked about going and seeing it again while its in town😆

Saturday we started off the day with a delicious caramel mocha and cinnamon roll from the coffee shop here in town, I can't get enough of either one!

It ended up being a slower day which was so perfect, it was a little chili out so we just enjoyed the fall weather, we took a motorcycle ride and just hung around home.

I brought this chalkboard home from the salon when I closed it and finally got it hung in the living room. I'm no expert but I had so much fun drawing these pumpkins! I'm excited to change it up for each season.

National Peanut Butter Day

In honor of National peanut butter day coming up this Sunday the 24th, I thought I would share my favorite  peanut butter recipes from the blog.  I don’t know about you, but I never need an excuse for peanut butter, BUT I do love using these National (insert whatever here) day as a fun way to celebrate some of my favorite things.  To start us off I’ll share my favorite first! Homemade Taco Seasoning

The other day I whipped up another batch of homemade taco seasoning that I’ve been making for years so I thought I would share it with you. It’s super easy, last a long time, and doesn’t have any of the icky preservatives, etc. Here’s the ingredients, 1/2 cup chili powder 3 Tablespoons cumin 1 Tablespoon salt 1 Tablespoon finely ground pepper 1 Tablespoon paprika 2 teaspoons garlic powder 2 teaspoons onion powder 2 teaspoons dried oregano Mix it all together and you’re good to go! To use, brown 1lb. hamburger,  then add 2 Tablespoons of the taco seasoning mix plus 1/3 cup water and simmer until liquid has thickened, about 1-2 minutes. I hope you enjoy!

Instant Pot Spaghetti

Instant Pot Spaghetti  Start by turning your instant pot to the sauté function, adding some olive oil and then once the screen says HOT add your hamburger and brown.  All of the spices I used. Once the hamburger is browned Turn the instant pot off. Once I turned the instant pot off I added the noodles, crisscrossing the noodles so they don't clump. Next I added the spaghetti sauce, water, and spices.  Then set the instant pot to manual for 10 minutes and did natural release. And finished product!  I turned the instant pot off, put the lid back on and let it cool a little once I mixed everything together. I used this for freezer meals. I was able to get 7 1 1/2 cup servings. I let these cool and then put them in the fridge and waited to put them in the freezer until the next day so it was completely cooled. Ingredients: Olive Oil 1 lb hamburger 2 jars pasta sauce 1 16oz box angel hair noodles 1 cup + 1 jar of Wa
