Ingredients:

  •  1 cup (2 sticks) butter, softened
  •  1 and 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  •  2 large eggs
  •  1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  •  1/2 cup unsweetened cocoa powder
  •  2 and 3/4 cup all purpose flour, spooned and leveled
  •  1 and 1/2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  •  1 teaspoon baking soda
  •  1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  •  1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup semi sweet chocolate chips
  •  1/3 cup granulated sugar, for rolling
  •  1 tablespoon cinnamon, for rolling

Directions:
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  2.  Line a couple baking sheets with parchment paper
  3. In a large bowl combine cocoa powder, flour, cream of tartar, baking soda, baking powder, and salt and blend
  4. In a large bowl or stand mixer, beat butter until creamy, then add 1 and 1/2 cups sugar. Beat for a couple minutes until light and fluffy, remembering to scrape the sides and bottom of the bowl.
  5. Add 2 eggs and vanilla and mix well.
  6. Turn the mixer on low and slowly beat in the flour mixture. Mix only until just combined, making sure to scrape the sides and bottom so that it all gets incorporated.
  7. Stir in chocolate chips.
  8. Shape the dough into rounds about 2-3 tablespoons each.
  9. In a shallow bowl, combine 1/3 cup sugar with 1 tablespoon cinnamon.
  10. Roll each ball of dough in the cinnamon sugar mixture.
  11. Place the sugared dough on the prepared cookie sheets at least 2 inches apart.
  12. Bake at 350 for about 10-12 minutes, or until the edges are set and the middle is soft and still shiny. Every oven is different, so keep an eye on it.
  13. Let rest on the baking sheet for about 2 minutes.
  14. Transfer the cookies to a wire rack to cool.

National Peanut Butter Day

In honor of National peanut butter day coming up this Sunday the 24th, I thought I would share my favorite  peanut butter recipes from the blog.  I don’t know about you, but I never need an excuse for peanut butter, BUT I do love using these National (insert whatever here) day as a fun way to celebrate some of my favorite things.  To start us off I’ll share my favorite first! And now for the rest in really no particular order because I couldn’t possibly decide between them all🤷‍♀️. Instant Pot Hamburger Helper

Instant Pot Hamburger Helper To get started you're going to turn your instant pot to the sauce feature. When it shows "Hot" on the display you're ready to add your olive oil and hamburger. Throw in all of your seasonings and brown the hamburger. Once its browned, add the noodles and more seasonings. Then add the two cans of beef broth and try to push all the ingredients down so there's not too much sitting on the surface. Then set the instant pot to cook for 8 minutes and do a quick release. Add in your milk, cheese, and party dip or sour cream if you have it. Turn it back onto sauté and stir everything together until it's melted. And serve! I don't know about you guys...but in our opinion you can't have hamburger helper without some bread and butter to go along with it😉. Ingredients: 1lb hamburger 8 oz elbow noodles 2 14 oz cans beef broth  1/2 - 1 cup milk  8 oz shredded ch...
