Lasagna

Lasagna

All the ingredients and spices I used (ground chicken not pictured)

I started by chopping the onion and garlic, I use a 3 cup food processor and it makes the process too much easier!

Start sautéing the onion ( I added some seasonings in at this point)

When the onion is almost done add the garlic and finish sautéing

Add your meat and spices and brown.

Mix the eggs in with the cottage cheese.

Mix you sauce with the meat and mix in the cottage cheese mixture.

Start by spreading some sauce on the bottom of the pan so your noodles don't stick then layer noodles, meat mixture,  and cheese, you'll end up layering three times and finishing with cheese (I had some fresh mozzarella leftover from another recipe so I through that on top as well)

I baked at 375 for 45 minutes and let sit for 10 minutes to cool.

Finished product (I always add some garlic and more parmesan to mine, Joe added hot sauce😂).

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds ground beef (I used ground chicken, you can use whatever you like)
  • 1 onion - chopped
  • 1 garlic head
  • 2 eggs - beaten
  • 1 jar spaghetti sauce
  • 1 can tomato paste
  • 1 small can tomato sauce
  • 4 cups Cottage cheese (You could use ricotta cheese also)
  • 3 8 oz bags shredded mozzarella cheese
  • Parmesan cheese ( I use the grated kind in the jar)
  • Lasagna noodles

Directions:
  1. Saute onion in about a tablespoon of olive oil or butter
  2. add garlic once onion is almost done
  3. Add meat, and seasonings and brown
  4. Mix cooked hamburger with spaghetti sauce, part of cheese and ricotta or cottage cheese.
  5. Spread a little sauce in bottom of  baking dish, to keep noodles from sticking.
  6. Layer noodles, meat mixture, and cheese.
  7. Layer again.
  8. Top with Parmesan cheese.
  9. Bake at 375* 45 minutes or until heated through.
  10. Let stand 10 minutes before serving.
This makes 2 9x13 pans - wanted smaller freezer meals for later so I broke it up into a few different pans, It makes approximately 20 pieces.

National Peanut Butter Day

In honor of National peanut butter day coming up this Sunday the 24th, I thought I would share my favorite  peanut butter recipes from the blog.  I don’t know about you, but I never need an excuse for peanut butter, BUT I do love using these National (insert whatever here) day as a fun way to celebrate some of my favorite things.  To start us off I’ll share my favorite first! This is a little generic and certainly not all about peanut butter but my favorite is definitely  Chocolate Nobake Cookies (with peanut butter of course). And now for the rest in really no particular order because I couldn’t possibly decide between them all🤷‍♀️. Peanut blossoms   Peanut butter cookies Peanut butter sandwich cookies Peanut butter bars -  Chocolate peanut butter bars   Chocolate scotcheroos  Chocolate peanut butter fudge  Peanut butter cups  Chocolate peanut butter pie  Peanut butter popcorn And lastly...if you want peanut butter but with a li...

Instant Pot Hamburger Helper

Instant Pot Hamburger Helper To get started you're going to turn your instant pot to the sauce feature. When it shows "Hot" on the display you're ready to add your olive oil and hamburger. Throw in all of your seasonings and brown the hamburger. Once its browned, add the noodles and more seasonings. Then add the two cans of beef broth and try to push all the ingredients down so there's not too much sitting on the surface. Then set the instant pot to cook for 8 minutes and do a quick release. Add in your milk, cheese, and party dip or sour cream if you have it. Turn it back onto sauté and stir everything together until it's melted. And serve! I don't know about you guys...but in our opinion you can't have hamburger helper without some bread and butter to go along with it😉. Ingredients: 1lb hamburger 8 oz elbow noodles 2 14 oz cans beef broth  1/2 - 1 cup milk  8 oz shredded ch...

Favorites - Hair Products

Favorites - Hair Products I'm starting a new little "series" Once a month I'm going to do a post on some of my favorite things, whether its hair and beauty products, clothes, cleaning products, foods, etc. To kick off this series I'm going to start with my favorite hair products. I decided to pair brands together to keep it a little more simple for you!  Now first things first...I'm sure you've been told this (probably by me) but DO NOT buy hair products from Walmart, target, TJ Max, etc....It is NOT the same thing you get from a salon!  My mom actually did it years ago when Walmart started carying "Paul Mitchell" products, and guess what...It wasn't the same as what she got from our stylist. Ulta, Sephora, Beauty Brands, places like that are fine, but I recommend buying from your stylist, they put the work into picking out the right products for you so I'm sure they'd appreciate your business😊. Morocca...
