10 years....Happy Anniversary Joe!

10 years...an entire decade! That's how long Joe and I have been together todayπŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–.

I know I know...Once you're married its not supposed to count but we still like to celebrate...especially this one!

A little back story...

We met 13 years ago at a football game, I immediately noticed his crazy personality and he immediately noticed my bright red (think Ariel) hair. He asked for my number and I totally blew him offπŸ˜‚, He was persistent though and got my Myspace (I know that just dated us...!) info from a mutual friend and we started talking, we remained friends for the next couple years and then had our first date at the homecoming game our senior year of high school and you could say the rest is history!
We've experienced both of us going through college at separate times, many moves, my owning my own business, one big move out of state (and back quicklyπŸ˜‚), my health journey that has been LONG, My closing my business, our buying our first home, I think after 10 years we've FINALLY settled down and are content where we are in lifeπŸ˜‰.

Ok...I may have gone a little overboard with the pictures...but I couldn't choose just a few it was so fun looking back through all of our memories😊.

Looking back through all of my photos to find these reminded me of all the amazing times we've had together!
We've certainly had our ups and downs over the years between jobs, health, finances, family deaths, etc. but we have never given up on each other and I think that is too important these days in marriage, people give up to easily! You might have days you don't like each other but think big picture...one day is nothing compared to a lifelong love for someone.

I am so thankful that I've gotten to do life with him this long and look forward to so many more years.πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•πŸ’•.

I miss you when you leave every morning and countdown the minutes until I get to see you at night...you truly are my very best friend!
Neither one of us are perfect, we both make mistakes, say things we shouldn’t, etc...but we’ve learned so much from each other these past 10 years and I would still choose you 1,000 times over!

After 10 years you still give me butterflies, I still want to spend every waking moment I can with you, I love going on adventures with you whether they’re big or something as small as taking the scenic route to our destination.

We’ve definitely chosen the harder path in life but each one of those experiences have made us stronger and brought us closer together and I’m so thankful for that.

Happy Anniversary Joe!!

National Peanut Butter Day

In honor of National peanut butter day coming up this Sunday the 24th, I thought I would share my favorite  peanut butter recipes from the blog.  I don’t know about you, but I never need an excuse for peanut butter, BUT I do love using these National (insert whatever here) day as a fun way to celebrate some of my favorite things.  To start us off I’ll share my favorite first! This is a little generic and certainly not all about peanut butter but my favorite is definitely  Chocolate Nobake Cookies (with peanut butter of course). And now for the rest in really no particular order because I couldn’t possibly decide between them all🀷‍♀️. Peanut blossoms   Peanut butter cookies Peanut butter sandwich cookies Peanut butter bars -  Chocolate peanut butter bars   Chocolate scotcheroos  Chocolate peanut butter fudge  Peanut butter cups  Chocolate peanut butter pie  Peanut butter popcorn And lastly...if you want peanut butter but with a li...

Instant Pot Hamburger Helper

Instant Pot Hamburger Helper To get started you're going to turn your instant pot to the sauce feature. When it shows "Hot" on the display you're ready to add your olive oil and hamburger. Throw in all of your seasonings and brown the hamburger. Once its browned, add the noodles and more seasonings. Then add the two cans of beef broth and try to push all the ingredients down so there's not too much sitting on the surface. Then set the instant pot to cook for 8 minutes and do a quick release. Add in your milk, cheese, and party dip or sour cream if you have it. Turn it back onto sautΓ© and stir everything together until it's melted. And serve! I don't know about you guys...but in our opinion you can't have hamburger helper without some bread and butter to go along with itπŸ˜‰. Ingredients: 1lb hamburger 8 oz elbow noodles 2 14 oz cans beef broth  1/2 - 1 cup milk  8 oz shredded ch...

Life update + some new projects

Lifish update I’ll do a full “anniversary post” in July but I’ve just had a lot of thoughts lately about life, crohns, everything. To be honest I’ve had a lot of confusion and even discouragement which is not normally me. I’m coming up on two years and while I’m no where near how I was two years ago (I mean that was pretty bad...😳) I’m also nowhere near where I thought I would be, I remember thinking that on the year anniversary too and I kind of think that feeling has just progressed since thenπŸ˜•. I’m no better than I was 8 months ago to be completely honest with you and in some ways may or worse? I am so so thankful to have a diagnosis and know what’s wrong with me, but with that I thought would come answers and healing. I’ve had some answers and some healing of course, but there’s still really a lot of unknown! In the beginning I used to talk about finding my “new normal” well I’m here to tell you 2 years later I still haven’t found itπŸ˜‚. Learning to navigate something new ...
