DIY Dog Toys

DIY Fleece Dog Toys

I picked up 3 of those cheap fleece blankets last year on Black Friday for $2-$3 and finally got around to doing something with them😊.

You'll start by folding the blanket in half lengthwise and then in half again, cut 3 3"- 4" strips.

Once you've got them cut, you'll have enough from those to make two toys.
tie a knot in the center and braid down approximately 6" on each side, from there combine the two braids and make one single braid, tying at the end.

With this one I tied a knot at the center and did one long braid, when I was finished a tied a couple knots along just to make it a little shorter.

With the fabric you have left you'll fold lengthwise and then again. Cut in half and then cut 3 strips in each of the halves. one of them I just tied a big knot in the middle for them to throw around and the other I did a short braid.

With this blanket I folded in half the long lengthwise and cut 3 wide strips, tie a knot in the middle and braid.

With this one I did the same as the last and cut 3 wide strips and tide a knot in the middle.
Then I braided approximately a foot down on each side of the knot and then intertwined and did one large braid from there, tying a knot at the end.

Deegan was super happy about all the new toys and was grabbing as I was finishing them😉.

And there you have the finished products! for less than $10 you have 6 new toys for your fur babies.

National Peanut Butter Day

In honor of National peanut butter day coming up this Sunday the 24th, I thought I would share my favorite  peanut butter recipes from the blog.  I don’t know about you, but I never need an excuse for peanut butter, BUT I do love using these National (insert whatever here) day as a fun way to celebrate some of my favorite things.  To start us off I’ll share my favorite first! This is a little generic and certainly not all about peanut butter but my favorite is definitely  Chocolate Nobake Cookies (with peanut butter of course). And now for the rest in really no particular order because I couldn’t possibly decide between them all🤷‍♀️. Peanut blossoms   Peanut butter cookies Peanut butter sandwich cookies Peanut butter bars -  Chocolate peanut butter bars   Chocolate scotcheroos  Chocolate peanut butter fudge  Peanut butter cups  Chocolate peanut butter pie  Peanut butter popcorn And lastly...if you want peanut butter but with a li...

Instant Pot Hamburger Helper

Instant Pot Hamburger Helper To get started you're going to turn your instant pot to the sauce feature. When it shows "Hot" on the display you're ready to add your olive oil and hamburger. Throw in all of your seasonings and brown the hamburger. Once its browned, add the noodles and more seasonings. Then add the two cans of beef broth and try to push all the ingredients down so there's not too much sitting on the surface. Then set the instant pot to cook for 8 minutes and do a quick release. Add in your milk, cheese, and party dip or sour cream if you have it. Turn it back onto sauté and stir everything together until it's melted. And serve! I don't know about you guys...but in our opinion you can't have hamburger helper without some bread and butter to go along with it😉. Ingredients: 1lb hamburger 8 oz elbow noodles 2 14 oz cans beef broth  1/2 - 1 cup milk  8 oz shredded ch...

Favorites - Hair Products

Favorites - Hair Products I'm starting a new little "series" Once a month I'm going to do a post on some of my favorite things, whether its hair and beauty products, clothes, cleaning products, foods, etc. To kick off this series I'm going to start with my favorite hair products. I decided to pair brands together to keep it a little more simple for you!  Now first things first...I'm sure you've been told this (probably by me) but DO NOT buy hair products from Walmart, target, TJ Max, etc....It is NOT the same thing you get from a salon!  My mom actually did it years ago when Walmart started carying "Paul Mitchell" products, and guess what...It wasn't the same as what she got from our stylist. Ulta, Sephora, Beauty Brands, places like that are fine, but I recommend buying from your stylist, they put the work into picking out the right products for you so I'm sure they'd appreciate your business😊.
