Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie

Chocolate Peanut Butter Pie

Ingredients:
  1. 2 Oreo pie crust
  2. 1 small package mini Reece's
  3. 1 cup creamy peanut butter
  4. One 8 ounce package cream cheese, softened
  5. 1 1/4 cups powdered sugar
  6. Two 8 ounce packages cool whip
  7. 4 ounces semi-sweet chocolate chips
  8. 1/2 can sweetened condensed milk
  9. 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:

For the peanut butter filling:
  • Chop up 10-15 mini Reece's
  • Beat the peanut butter with the cream cheese until smooth. Add the powdered sugar and beat until smooth. Add in the thawed whipped cream and beat until smooth, scraping the sides as needed.
  • Add in chopped Reece's.
  • Pour the filling into the crust, evening out the top with a knife or spatula. Chill in the fridge while making the chocolate layer

For the chocolate filling:

  • Melt the baking chocolate in a medium sized bowl stirring every 30 seconds until melted.
  • Stir 1/2 of the can of sweetened condensed milk (about 5 ounces volume) into the melted chocolate.
  • Stir in 1 teaspoon of vanilla extract. Let sit for a few minutes, but be sure to stir it occasionally so it doesn’t turn into fudge.
  • Stir up the chocolate mixture until it’s smooth. Fold in 1 cup of whipped cream carefully so you don’t break the cream. Spread on top of peanut butter layer
  • Let chill for a couple hours and then add the remaining whipped cream.
  • Top with 10 -15 chopped mini Reece's divided between pies

National Peanut Butter Day

In honor of National peanut butter day coming up this Sunday the 24th, I thought I would share my favorite  peanut butter recipes from the blog.  I don’t know about you, but I never need an excuse for peanut butter, BUT I do love using these National (insert whatever here) day as a fun way to celebrate some of my favorite things.  To start us off I’ll share my favorite first! This is a little generic and certainly not all about peanut butter but my favorite is definitely  Chocolate Nobake Cookies (with peanut butter of course). And now for the rest in really no particular order because I couldn’t possibly decide between them all🤷‍♀️. Instant Pot Hamburger Helper

Instant Pot Hamburger Helper To get started you're going to turn your instant pot to the sauce feature. When it shows "Hot" on the display you're ready to add your olive oil and hamburger. Throw in all of your seasonings and brown the hamburger. Once its browned, add the noodles and more seasonings. Then add the two cans of beef broth and try to push all the ingredients down so there's not too much sitting on the surface. Then set the instant pot to cook for 8 minutes and do a quick release. Add in your milk, cheese, and party dip or sour cream if you have it. Turn it back onto sauté and stir everything together until it's melted. And serve! I don't know about you guys...but in our opinion you can't have hamburger helper without some bread and butter to go along with it😉. Ingredients: 1lb hamburger 8 oz elbow noodles 2 14 oz cans beef broth  1/2 - 1 cup milk  8 oz shredded ch...

Crockpot Pizza

Crockpot Pizza I'm totally taking you guys along for a first time experiment! I'll add in the notes what I would do differently next time.  Heres all of the ingredients I used, plus my 6 quart slow cooker.   (P.S. I have a cousin that works at the Tones factory and its the best thing ever...everytime I see my Aunt I get a bag full of goodies!  We've gotten so many good seasonings like this Italian one.  Last time I got Sprinkles! - Those of you that know me well know I LOVE cookie cutters and sprinkles😂) I had these parchment paper sheets on hand and it was the perfect size for the crockpot, you can easily cut your own or spray the crockpot with a cooking spray. I sprinkled a little flour on the parchment paper, laid out both of the packages of of dough and sprinkled with a little more flour before shaping it into an oval.  Then I placed it in the crockpot and finished shaping it.  It doesn't need to be perfect,...
