Weekly Recap July 28th - August 3rd

So I kind of slacked a little bit on the recaps...too be honest I was more focused on relaxing which didn't exactly happen...😂.

So I'm going to share some highlights with you guys of the time I missed!
We'll jump right into it...

I did a new color on Joe's hair for the upcoming fight. I LOVE this color, I did it on an old client so I just had it leftover and it turned out great.

My grandma got me this super cute romper from a catalog and its soo comfy. its kind of a terry cloth material so its great as a swim cover up too.
Fun fact... the day I wore this I went to up to mom and dads to swim and got stuck in a rain storm instead...😒

All ready to head to the way ins!

Weigh ins at Val Air the night before Joe's fight.

The "Misfit Combat Team" Joe got shirts made and I LOVE how they turned out. Dean on the right is wearing one of joes Juggernaut shirts and Jason (Joes old taekwondo instructor that comes and helps teach at the gym when he can) Is wearing a "Tully Strong" shirt that his cousin had made up to raise money for his other cousin when he was in a really bad car accident last year.

💙💙 Joe didn't win this fight but he went up against a 10 year MMA veteran and still held his own. I was still so proud of him.

George and Sarah both one their fights (Joes training them) I loved this picture I got after George one!

And probably the best part of the night. Getting to see my best friend Mikala! Her and her husband moved down to Kansas City in December and I hadn't gotten to see her since they moved.

Saturday night we had a few people up to my parents to swim and have a bonfire.

We got to swim a little bit and then the rain hit so our plans got changed, we moved the grill inside to cook our hotdogs.

Then after that we just decided to watch a movie since the rain killed our bonfire idea. It was still a fun night!

Sarah snapped this picture of Joe and I Saturday night and it is seriously one of my new favorites.

Joe pointed out in a another picture my mom took that I genuinely looked happy and that hasn't happened in a long time. Yes I've absolutely been happy but I've been so miserable for so many years I didn't get to do a lot of things and if I did I was miserable.
Granted I still don't feel good most of the time its a little easier to hide than it used to be😉.

Sunday we checked out the little bowling alley that Scheels has upstairs. With both of our shoulders neither one of us can do regular bowling...Does that sound like we're 100 years old??😂.

This was perfect. you get to bowl like 5 or 6 rounds or something and the bowling balls are small so our shoulders didn't get too tired and my attention span could last that long.

I saw this adorable sweatshirt and tank top down stairs at Scheels and had to share!

I meant to go get one with my birthday money and totally forgot...I'll have to go back sometime.

I found these cuties at Gap on clearance  for a totally of $9.60!!

So I saw this months ago when it came out and LOVED it but could never justify spending $50 on it...

I went to Sephora to get my free birthday gift and saw they had it on sale for half off!! They didn't have any in store but they were able to ship one too me and I am soo in love.

My free birthday gift.
I'm going to make up a list of places that I get birthday gifts or at least discounts for you guys so you can take advantage of them too!

I had planned on going up and relaxing in the pool one day...It was green when I got there so I I got on the big floaty and barely touched the water...😂. I didn't last too long before I got too hot and put all the pool shock in and everything and headed home.

We went and borrowed my parents truck so Joe could get some stuff cleaned up at the house (They're going to have to take a big load to the dump so we just took our stuff back there)

I'd been eyeing this windows someone put by the road going up to their house for a couple days so we stopped and grabbed these two. The top one the glass is gone and this one (It's HUGE) has one pane missing and the other ones cracked so I'm going to look up some fun ideas to use them.

The guys started getting the new (to us) siding up on the garage and I can't wait till it gets finished. It already looks so much better! It's tin siding so it will last much longer than what was already there.

My Toby Keith fan club t-shirt FINALLY came! now I'm ready for the concert to get here.

My parents paid for me to go see our family friend that does massage in Des Moines to try to help get  loosen everything up around my nerves. I was pretty sore afterwards (I didn't drink enough water...) but I do think it helped and I can't wait to go back and see her again. She spent the whole 90 minutes just on my neck and shoulder area!

After my massage I headed over to Clive to get my free birthday bundt cake! They're only $4.50 so I got another one too so Joe and I could share. we ate about half of each and threw the rest away. It was REALLY hard to do that but a small taste is better than none am I right??

Thursday when I was getting ready to go to my first physical therapy appointment I decided to check last minute and see if Karla (K Nails) would have time to get me in to get a manicure and she was able to get me in that afternoon! They sponsored Joe through their bar (The Broken Spoke) Karla has a room in there that she does nails out of so they traded a mani/pedi for a one time sponsorship and it was the best thing ever. I can't wait to go back and get my pedicure. She did gel nails and a week later they still look amazing.

Grandma and I went up to Homemakers and got us the couch we've been eyeing for a year or so.

We're going to get two of this matching chair this winter!

I saw this super cute letter board while we were there and I think I'm going to have Joe help me recreate it for a lot cheaper!

Joe with my mommas help through me a birthday party up at my parents.

It included lots of yummy food, some pool time, and a bonfire to finish it off.

Thrown in there the last few weeks were a few doctors appointments, ups and downs in health, of course lots of puppy cuddles and a lot of family time💜.

Ok now that I've got you mostly caught up onto this weeks weekly recap!

Sunday morning I finally felt inspired to write a little (actually long) update on my health and everything from the last year. If you haven't already read it you can check it out here.

Deegan thought I should be paying attention to him.
And he still thought so😂 (He's all cuddled up to me as a write this😉).

My ootd Sunday - My shirt I got for like $2-$3 when Shopko went out of business in Chariton and my jeans are some silver jeans I got at Goodwill for $9!

We headed up to the mall early Sunday afternoon and went straight for the pretzels and cheese (I had a buy one get on free!) and then headed to the massage chairs.
It's one of our favorite cheap day dates. You could finish it off for a trip to Homemakers for some free cookies too😉.

We browsed around the mall for a little while and made some stops at a couple other places and then headed to Famous Daves for my birthday dinner with our family!

Loved getting to spend a little time with everyone together and food just makes it even better😉.
So I chose Famous Daves because I had some coupons, I love BBQ, and I wanted to make sure we went somewhere my parents could get something.
I gotta be honest though...We went after Joe's weigh ins and there was a hair in my sandwich...When the waitress brought me a new sandwich she tried to say it was just from a BBQ brush but yet it didn't have any bbq sauce on it🤔.
Then when we went this time Joes sandwich was very burnt and about the half the size it was last time we went and our appetizer of boneless wings was definitely lacking...and the service was not great. So that to be said as much as I love Famous Daves I don't know if we'll be back for awhile. Time to find a new BBQ place!!
Let me know in the comments some of your favorites we can try out.

We headed straight home (Ok not straight...I talked Joe into stopping at Starbucks😉) to get our new couch unloaded and the old one moved out.

The dogs settled right in.
We picked the one that has the chaise attached so that we could all four fit on the couch comfortably and it is so great!

When Joe left for work Monday morning I decided to move to the couch and try out its comfiness😊. Can you find the second dog in this picture?? Probably not..He's buried under my blanket😉.

My ootd Monday (MY BIRTHDAY!)
All express except the sandals and all for great prices.

My mommy surprised me with some Creme De Menthe Dessert when she came to pick me up and you guys...I was SO excited. I promise I'll get the recipe up soon because you all need to experience the goodness too.

I changed my shirt after I opened my present from mom and dad because I had to wear my new shirt they got me!

Our first stop was pedicures - My grandma got mom pedicure gift certificates at XO Nails in West Glen for Christmas so we used two of them for her birthday and the other two for my birthday. I highly recommend upgrading to the top pedicure and getting gel nails, it made the experience soo much more relaxing and your nails will last much longer.

After that we ran to the hair supply store to get a couple things and then made a stop at Whole Foods.
From there we went out to Waukee to see our Chiropractor and get some adjustments, It was MUCH needed for both of us.

I was having a hard time deciding where I wanted to go for lunch (No one tells you the symptoms of Crohns like that...I have a terrible time making a decision for things like that. I'm always so worried something will make me sick or just plain indecisive...)

I finally settled on Panera at the mall (I also got a free cookie for my birthday😉) and then mom got Taco Johns so we just ate in the food court.

We hit up Forever 21 first and kept a couple cardigans in our minds to think about.
We hit up a couple stores and then I saw Express was having 50% off clearance and knew we had to stop in.

I LOVED this sweater but they only had it in an XL and no other stores/online had it anymore😞. I snapped a picture though to keep an eye out on the website incase they come back out with it or something similar.

We made a stop at Apple to browse and I saw this Wireless charging dock!

It's a pretty penny but I think it would be soo worth it, It's going on my Christmas list!

We went to Journeys to get a pair of Birkenstocks I saw the day before that I Wanted to think about and of course they didn't have my size...I snapped this picture of these heals Sunday and was still eyeing them when we went back Monday and I still was thinking about it but I think I'm going to go back and get them. If they're comfy of course, I haven't tried them on yet!

One of my friends sent me a picture of this ring from Kays and we both thought it was cute but one of the review pictures didn't look so cute so I decided to stop in and look at it in person.

Its not bad...but then she showed me this necklace and its soo cute!! That's going on my Christmas list too😉.

I got this sweet snapchat from my mother in law and had to save. Max is around 12 years old and is such a sweet old guy.

Mom and I hit a few other stores and then met Joe at the new Hyvee health market on Jordan Creek Parkway.

We headed over to Giordanos that just opened up on Jordan Creek Parkway (They're based out of Chicago and just opened this one in Des Moines last week).
We made it just in the nick of time, we only had to wait about 5 minutes before a spot opened up on the patio. It got super busy right after we got there and was already up to an hour wait for people!

It was seriously sooo amazing!! We've had a deep dish pizza at Wig and Pen in Ankeny and having nothing to compare it too didn't think it was to bad. but man oh man we had no idea what we were missing out on.

We got the deep dish pizza, some boneless wings, and some cheesy garlic bread and it was all so good.
I highly recommend checking it out!
(And bonus...if you sign up for there email list you get a free appetizer!)

Basically my life Motto... I don't discriminate and love all kinds of pizza!

One of the things I got from Express...One of our friends always calls me the boss lady so I thought it was pretty fitting😉.

My ootd Tuesday - Sporting my new shirt and shorts from Express ($25 totally for both!)

Deegan had been sick the last couple days so we decided we better take him to the vet...$100 later I'm pretty sure he was just not feeling well😒.
But they're our babies so naturally we're willing to spend it right??

Dublin was quite jealous that Deegan got to go somewhere and he didn't...

Alright next up I'm going to show you everything I got on my birthday!

Mom and I went back to Forever 21 before we left the mall and both got this cute pink cardigan, its showing more white in the pictures but its a really pretty light pink.

I got this coat at Costco when we went and Sunday and I love it! its a perfect in between between a really light summer rain coat and my thick winter coat.

I got these black skinny jeans at Costco too. I've never bought jeans from there but they're actually pretty comfy and accurate sizing.

I got a pair of black leggings from there too that I forgot to snap a picture of. They're nothing fancy but I was needing a new pair and they're comfy!

I got these skinny jeans from Hollister - I have another pair of boyfriend jeans from there and they're both really comfy.

I'm not usually big on Hollister shirts - I'm not on board with the belly shirt trend, at least not for me to wear😬. But I found this cute sweatshirt in the clearance section for like $10 and its so comfy and I love the green accents on it.

Joe wanted to go to Zumiez to look around of of course I Found something, I can find clearance anywhere😂.

I got both of these sweatshirts for about $25! the gray and white will work with jeans or leggings and this green one is a little oversized and super comfy so I can't wait to pair it with leggings and uggs this fall/winter.

My main goal was finding some pieces that I could wear this winter.
When I was doing hair I had to be so picky about what I bought, they either had to be 3/4 sleeves or at least roll up to that otherwise I would get color or water all over them. And I always tried to be a little dressier. So my plan ow that I'm home all the time is to find things that are still cute but all about comfy!

This is the shirt mom and dad got me. I love it💓.

One of the things I got at Express, I've never gone for the shirts that have the criss crosses in front but I actually really loved it and its so soft and comfy.

I got this tank at Express to wear under other shirts and the silkiness of it is perfect under stuff.

And of course the boss lady sweatshirt😉. This ones a little oversized to so it will be perfect with skinny jeans and leggings.

I love these reversible tank I got at Express! I've had two just like this in other colors but they were too big so I never really wore them...This one fits perfectly and I LOVE The colors.

I wear gym shorts and stuff enough I knew I didn't need a lot of shorts (I'm hoping to at least fit into SOME of the shorts I wore last summer, next summer so I didn't want to buy a bunch) I LOVE express shorts and got these on the clearance rack too, they're so comfy but basically everything from Express is.

A lot of people never step foot into that store because it looks a little intimidating and "overpriced" I was definitely one of those people but I decided to check it out once and have never turned back. All of the clothes are such amazing quality and if you watch for sales you can get stuff at amazing prices. Mom got two really cute dressy shirts that she could wear at work or even everyday for only $15!
If you're shopping there I would say to size down on pretty much everything, even the jeans because they'll stretch out one you wear them awhile.

I picked up a travel size of this when I was at the supply store. Any store gets me with all the stuff they put up by the registers! Ive used it a couple times but haven't made a firm decision on whether I like it enough to buy the bigger size when I use it up, I'm still a big fan of the Kenra Taffy.

I had a free eyeshadow from bare minerals and then of course ended up buying one too. Its a little hard to see the colors in this picture but they're soo pretty, I'm planning on doing some research and getting some more of their products in the future.

I got this little thing for like $3 at express and it works so great! I pare it with my eco tools daily brush cleaner (But I never clean them daily...) it helps get everything out.

I had a free mascara from Ulta and found this cute lipstick color while I was there too.

It's really hard to tell in the picture but its more of a pink color than its showing up, It's really pretty and I've used it a few times and love it.

We went to bath and body works (I love when they have deals, We got $10 of $30) I got a couple new wallflowers (I feel like after 2-3 uses they don't put off the scent as well) and some fall refills, Mom and I went in together and got a few hand soaps too. I LOVE The three wick candles but its usually too much scent for me at once so I like to get the wallflowers thats not quite so overpowering.

I've heard a lot of people talk about these vitamins so I decided to get some and try them out for awhile.

Mom and dad got me this daily calendar and I love it! I've been sharing each day since I got it over on Instagram - If you don't already follow me look me up! its my.divine.life (add the periods between each word)

And they got me these! I'm going to get a white board to put in the office to help keep me on track each day.

I told Joe I wanted this magazine a few weeks ago and after going to a couple different stores he found it for me! I'm excited to dig in and see all the good ideas.

These were the Birkenstocks I was going to get at Journeys. I wanted the teal ones and of course they didn't have my size in store or online😞.

I got on and decided to browse Maurices website to check out the sales and found these Birkenstock imitations and I got both of them for like $18! I had them shipped to store so I can't wait to see how they are when I get them!

These two were keeping me good company while I was working on the computer.

Monday night Joe was saying he thought he wanted one of my friends thats a nurse that had offered to give me my injection but he decided he was brave enough to give it to me himself on Tuesday.

He did great and we both survived😉 I think he'll be a pro at it in no time.

I wasn't feeling well and cold later in the day on Tuesday so I switched over to this comfy outfit that I got the other day.

Mean mugging...he's gotten pretty great at it in his old age😂.

Someone shared this on facebook and I thought it was such a cool idea!! Between Joe, my dad, and brother they could all build something like this so I'm definitely going to add it to my list for next summer.

When mom and I were at Dillards browsing shoes I decided to go over and check out the Clinique

Deegan LOVES finding the sun in the mornings and will lay there forever.

This is how Dublin felt about getting up.

My ootd - our new gym shirt, my favorite pair of jeans for the moment, and of course my slides that I wear basically everyday.

I had physical therapy at 8:45 in the morning - I have no idea what I was thinking when I scheduled that!

After physical therapy I ran out to Walmart to get a couple things and saw this white board. I'm thinking about getting it and hanging in the office to help keep me on track with certain projects.

I scored this pool float for 50% off while I was there! I think I'm going to go back and get another one when the price drops even more.

When I came home I gave the dogs baths and you can clearly see how Dublin felt about that...😂.

How often do you give your dogs baths? When we just had Dublin I used to do it at least once a month and then after we got Deegan it was such a pain to give him a bath we slacked on doing it, and went up to 6 months without doing it at one point😳. Now that we have new furniture I want to keep the dog smell at bay as much as possible...so my goal is every other week!

For a snack I had some leftover party potatoes - I'll have to get that recipe together and share it with you guys they are soo good!

I wasn't feeling very good later in the afternoon - My joints and everything were killing me from physical therapy so I decided to take a bath and soak in the new epsom salt I bought. It smelled so great in the bathroom after using this one!

I've been on a getting rid of clothing spree and I gotta admit...it feels pretty great to let go of things! I always go through my closet and say "But I love that" or "Well maybe I'll wear that next summer" etc. So my new tactic is if I'm not willing to walk out of the house right that second wearing it then it needs to go! And it's totally been working, I've gotten rid of a lot of things I wouldn't have before.

Any chance this little guy gets he has to be cuddling, and I'm totally fine with that!

I am loving this little calendar my parents got me for my birthday. I swear every day when I flip the page it pertains to something going on in my life that day. Its funny how that works!

I got some pledge when I ran to Walmart this morning and went on a dusting spree - I'll admit..There are a lot of areas in my house or things that I clean constantly like my counters, I probably spray them down and clean them like 5 times a day😂. But dusting is not my cup of tea...Since I got the pledge I went through and dusted every surface I could! Just the top left drawer is cleaned in this picture.

Now I've got the whole thing cleaned in this one and it looks so much better! This dresser needs a complete overhaul, I actually have a matching headboard. They're family heirlooms so hopefully someday I'll have a room to put them both in but until then the dresser will be stored also when we find a tv stand that we like.

I had leftover pizza for supper again and even 2 days later it is still so yummy!

A little daily dose of puppy sweetness for you😊

My ootd Thursday - I've gotta admit...Wearing these shorts (I think this is only like the second time wearing them this summer?) I've realized sometimes price points do really make a difference with certain things! I bought these linen type shorts last summer on sale on the Roxy website for like $15 or $20. I bought two pairs of the linen shorts from Target this summer for like $18? And the Roxy ones are soo much better quality!

I thought I could leave them by themselves for 5 seconds when I went inside to grab something and when I came back they were both staring at me 😒.

Physical Therapy was much less painful today! She also put some tape on my shoulder to help stretch it some and Deegan was super confused what it was.

Deegan was quite demanding with the puppy cuddles when I got home and I gotta say, I was totally ok with it!

Is this not the cutest thing ever?? He fell asleep with his head straight up😂.

That face when momma tells you you can't bark at the neighbor dog...He kills me.

This is Deegan everyday...we go out and he just sits there and watches the neighbors😂.

He looks like such an old man here and it makes me so sad😞. He was getting a really nice neck rub. Oh and I totally need to cut his toenails...

I think I'm going to throw these in each day now, I've been trying to share them on instagram too. If you don't follow me over there you need to! I share some day to day stuff.

Thursday evening we went down to Corydon to pick up some car parts from a friend for another friend and the duct tape around the door was cracking me up.

We kept seeing signs for Freedom Bible Camp on the way home so we decided to take a detour so Joe could see the place who made me miserable a week out of every summer growing up...😒.
The general concusses from everyone I sent the snapchat too that I went to camp with is that we loved getting to see each other there but HATED going.
I made my mom be a councilor till like Freshman year and even then our church came over and did meals on Wednesdays so I still got to see her the middle of the week, I'm just a home body what can I say!

I talked Joe into stopping at Subway when we got back to town and the kid got Thursday mixed up with Tuesdays apparently so I got a free cookie, SCORE!

You've probably seen this before, but my favorite sandwich. There are a lot others I used to get but I can't eat anymore but I love this one so I don't mind, I get a cold cut with pickles, mayo, and sometimes some chipotle. It's a little boring compared to all the delicious peppers I used to put on them but its still delicious.

I had everything up to mop but that wasn't going to stop Deegan from watching out the window.
Not even a minute after I took this picture he fell off the table taking that chair with him.
I'll admit, after making sure he was ok I totally laughed at him.

This is the faces I get when I'm cleaning and not cuddling them...So unimpressed.

Nice freshly mopped floors! Whats your go to for cleaning cheap laminate flooring?? I can't use like Lysol or anything because it leaves streaks so I've found my norwex mop does the best but I feel like without chemicals its not clean😬.
I made it through vacuuming and mopping the back half of the house and was so tired and in so much pain I decided to let Joe finish the front half...He tried telling me that before but of course, I didn't listen. I will from now on! He's been doing it for me basically since last summer because it gets to be too much for me but I don't like giving up doing stuff like that when he works so much already.

My ootd Friday featuring Deegan.
A Walmart tank top that is super comfy, my favorite Express shorts, and nike slides.

I ran to the grocery store in the morning and when I came home found the door open to the toaster oven, clearly someone was trying to get to the brats that were thawing on top and by someone I most definitely mean Deegan😒.

Once Dublin goes and does his business he's right back up with momma to cuddle and I'm totally fine with that.

Just incase you thought I repeated a picture...Nope, I told you he does this everyday!

It cracks me up that they lay literally the same exact way.

Joe snapped this when he got home and Dublins smile just melts my heart!

We ran to Walmart when Joe got off work and I spotted these, he says we don't need them, but I highly disagree I think they'd be so fun! at least the jumbo bowling. I'm going to talk him into them.

We stopped by Joe's moms for awhile before going home and I was sharing my M&M's with Joes mom and Max (he's old...he deserves treats) Well he was not happy with being done when we said he was and even though he can barely walk he was till going to get himself on that table to get that M&M bag!😂😂 It was super entertaining.

Deb (Joe's mom) feeds a lot of the stray kitties around her house and one has a litter of kittens right now and they are the cutest thing EVER we found this one hiding in this little tree from Max.

When we got home we grilled up some brats for supper. I always get them from the Hyvee meat counter and get the bacon and cheddar, the johnsonville brats usually make me sick I think but I've found these ones don't, thankfully because they're delicious.

As I've been going through getting rid of clothes I remembered I had a tote of winter stuff in the basement...It was a little bigger than I thought. I haven't tackled that one yet but I'm sure most of them will go. accept my Rudolph onsie of course, that one has to stay.

My ootd featuring the puppies - Dublins face...😂 He knew we were leaving.
My cardigan is an old mossimo one from Target and I realized once we got to Des Moines it had bleach stains on it...😒.
My top and shorts are both the ones that I got at Express on my birthday and my sandals are the cute leather looking ones I got on clearance at Walmart.

Before we left town we stopped up at Grassroots to check out the sale they're having. If you haven't yet you need to go! And Ivy Rose, that's another favorite in town. I love that we're getting these little shops around town and I love even more all the cute stuff they have.

I noticed this one when she posted on facebook and seeing it in person I'm still thinking about it..I only left with some warmer melts Saturday but she has me on the list for a cute sweatshirt when they come in, I'll share a picture when I get it!

We stopped at Maurices to pick up some sandals I ordered online and had shipped to the store (Yay free shipping!) but after that we headed straight for the pretzels...I had a free birthday pretzel coupon to use up.

Joe thought he was so funny with this snap, but he's not wrong, I do love my pretzels!

We stopped into DryGoods and I found this little book that I thought was so cute, I think I'm going to get one.

We went to Sephora and I saw this little mini duo, Did you know there is a perfume brand named Chloe?? Actually they make purses and stuff too. My mom has had some of there perfume bottles for YEARS because of the name. I told Joe he needs to gift me with these sometime, We smelled them both and they actually both smell really good!

So I'm just the right size to fit in the largest size of kids shoes! If you're a size 8 or lower try out looking at kids shoes. I saw these at Journeys kids and I'm super tempted to go back and get them.
I got a pair of Sorel snow boots at Nordstrom wrack for like 1/3 of the price of adult ones!
Oh..and just wait till my new ones get here in the mail that I ordered that are kids sized....I'm pretty excited!

I need a new pair of sunglasses and I spotted these at Scheels, they're really cute!

I told Joe I NEED this sweater thing it is seriously SO soft...and $85😏.

I tried this sweater on at Scheels and while it was super comfy I didn't love the color, I might go back and get a different color sometime.

But I did leave with this Fur Mama Tank top!! I'm totally going to go back and get the sweatshirt too.

I also had a free Krispy Kreme donut coupon to use up so of course we had to go. But I'm going to be honest with you...sadly they're really just not as good as they used to be. I grew up on Krispy Kreme, it was my moms favorite and about every time we went to Des Moines we would stop and get one. The last few times we've gone we've felt like its gotten worse and honestly I feel like the Hyvee glazed donuts are way better now!

We stopped at Stuff Etc. its next to Natural Grocers in Des Moines (They also have one in Ankeny) and I will totally be going back! I dont REALLY need a new dress so I didn't come home with this but I did think it was super cute.

I did come home with this top though and I love it!

We ran to the hair supply store to pick up something for a friend and of course left with more...naturally.

I noticed this up at the register and Joe ended up getting the beard oil. It's a Veteran owned company so we're all about supporting them.
Joe is loving he beard oil so we're going to try some of the other products.

We've talking about trying out Noahs Ark for months and we finally took the plunge and will totally be back. They've been open for like 46 years and our waitress has been there all of 4 of those years, isn't that crazy?? The atmosphere was so fun and the food was seriously delicious.

My handsome date.

Like 30 seconds after he took this picture he went to the car and got my cardigan for me, it was FREEZING in there.

We started with the cheese bread and it was an excellent choice.

I tried out the "Donkey Kick" and it was amazing I want Joe to recreate it at home sometime.

We ordered the pizza with pepperoni, Canadian bacon, green peppers, and red onions. We were NOT disappointed at all!

I talked Joe into Starbucks for dessert and he was getting a cake pop so of course I had to get one too. I had a cake pop somewhere once and it was super dry so I've never tried one again. the ones at Starbucks are so amazing and its probably not a good idea that I found that out...

This used to be my FAVORITE and they took it away...I'm hoping they brought it back to stay because its sooo yummy.

When we got home and let the doggies out they went right to their "Guarding" position.

Now to my finds of the day...I got this pulp riot bag for free with two styling product purchases. I love the color (It's what I always use when I do crazy colors on Joe) so I figured why not try the products out (The girl working actually said they can barely keep them on the shelves everyone likes them so much).

These are the two I got. I haven't tried the leave in conditioner yet but I love the finishing spray so far, I don't like a really strong hold so this was perfect.

I got the Marc Jacobs eyeliner like a year or two ago when a client recommend it to me and have been out for a long time and finally replaced it. Now I want to go get all of the colors!
I bought the green hula eyeshadow pallet this winter and was so in love and have been eyeing the blue pallet since then so I finally bit the bullet and used my birthday money to get it and I love it! the water cream and sleeping mask were free since I had some Sephora points I'd been letting build up for awhile.

Sooo pretty!!

It's hard to see but this is the eyeliner color I got. Its such a pretty color of blue.

These are the shoes we picked up at Maurices. I got both pairs for $18! They're no Birkenstocks...but for the price I'm super happy with them.

The two  warmer scents I got at Grassroots. I'm using up my summery ones first so I'm excited to try these out soon.

The tops I got at Stuff Etc. like I said, you definitely need to check them out! They're like Goodwill but I think its consignment. This top is from Gap and it's the boyfriend fit. I love button ups like this, as you'll see as you scroll down...I had one really similar. to this years ago and have been searching for the right one since then and I think I found it!

This one is from Hollister and still had the tags from Hollister on it! I love this one because its lightweight enough its super easy to throw over a tank top in the summer.

This ones from American Eagle and a boyfriend fit too. its soo soft and I like that the buttons are different than the normals and I'm a sucker for plaid.

I think this brands from Kohls?? I know I've had it before but can't remember. I love this one and I love how short the sleeves can go.

This one is soo comfy and I love the color too.
I got all 5 of these tops for $25!! Soo basically evens out to $5 a piece, and all really great brands. I'm telling you I really love a good deal, but you probably already figured that out.

I hope you guys enjoyed this post...because it took FOREVER and re writing and re downloading pictures like 2-3 times thanks to technical difficulties with the website...

Make sure the people that you surround yourself with are really in your corner and want what's best for you. If not, maybe you need to re evaluate and make some changes. You want people that are supportive!

So I decided to try something new that I saw another blogger does and I love it. I'm going to throw some questions at you at the bottom to try and get to you know you a little better. leave a comment for me with your answers so we can interact!

Whats your favorite stores to shop at?
How often do you give your dogs baths?
How often do you go through your clothes?

Just a couple but I'd love to see what other people do too!

National Peanut Butter Day

In honor of National peanut butter day coming up this Sunday the 24th, I thought I would share my favorite  peanut butter recipes from the blog.  I don’t know about you, but I never need an excuse for peanut butter, BUT I do love using these National (insert whatever here) day as a fun way to celebrate some of my favorite things.  To start us off I’ll share my favorite first! This is a little generic and certainly not all about peanut butter but my favorite is definitely  Chocolate Nobake Cookies (with peanut butter of course). And now for the rest in really no particular order because I couldn’t possibly decide between them all🤷‍♀️. Peanut blossoms   Peanut butter cookies Peanut butter sandwich cookies Peanut butter bars -  Chocolate peanut butter bars   Chocolate scotcheroos  Chocolate peanut butter fudge  Peanut butter cups  Chocolate peanut butter pie  Peanut butter popcorn And lastly...if you want peanut butter but with a li...

Instant Pot Hamburger Helper

Instant Pot Hamburger Helper To get started you're going to turn your instant pot to the sauce feature. When it shows "Hot" on the display you're ready to add your olive oil and hamburger. Throw in all of your seasonings and brown the hamburger. Once its browned, add the noodles and more seasonings. Then add the two cans of beef broth and try to push all the ingredients down so there's not too much sitting on the surface. Then set the instant pot to cook for 8 minutes and do a quick release. Add in your milk, cheese, and party dip or sour cream if you have it. Turn it back onto sauté and stir everything together until it's melted. And serve! I don't know about you guys...but in our opinion you can't have hamburger helper without some bread and butter to go along with it😉. Ingredients: 1lb hamburger 8 oz elbow noodles 2 14 oz cans beef broth  1/2 - 1 cup milk  8 oz shredded ch...

Life update + some new projects

Lifish update I’ll do a full “anniversary post” in July but I’ve just had a lot of thoughts lately about life, crohns, everything. To be honest I’ve had a lot of confusion and even discouragement which is not normally me. I’m coming up on two years and while I’m no where near how I was two years ago (I mean that was pretty bad...😳) I’m also nowhere near where I thought I would be, I remember thinking that on the year anniversary too and I kind of think that feeling has just progressed since then😕. I’m no better than I was 8 months ago to be completely honest with you and in some ways may or worse? I am so so thankful to have a diagnosis and know what’s wrong with me, but with that I thought would come answers and healing. I’ve had some answers and some healing of course, but there’s still really a lot of unknown! In the beginning I used to talk about finding my “new normal” well I’m here to tell you 2 years later I still haven’t found it😂. Learning to navigate something new ...
