We'll start the weekly recap off with the softest pillow ever I got at Walmart Sunday morning😂.
It's only $5 too!
We ran up up to my parents after Walmart to borrow dads chop saw so Joe could get the floor laid back down in the kitchen!
When we got back home my cousin and her kids stopped by to visit and it was so crazy seeing her oldest jumping right in and helping Joe, I feel like he should still be 5 and he's 13😲. They visited for awhile and then when they left Joe got the floor done.
After they left and Joe was finishing the flooring I got started on a project I'm making.
Joe snapped this of a little resting moment of me and the dogs for a minute.
Finally finished! I forgot how terrible it was looking since the floor had gotten wet from the dishwasher leaking😂. And it's also amazing how much a small thing like a new vent can make a difference too.
Dublin likes the new pillow just as much as I do😊.
For supper we did some tenderized pork cutlets (I think thats what they're called?) Joe breaded them and then we cooked them in the air fryer.
Trying so hard not to beg!😂.
I'll have to share the recipe and how he does them soon. They turned out soo good! I wasn't looking forward to them at all before, When I'm not feeling well I'm not hungry nothing sounds good at all, but then I smelled them and was pretty excited to eat one!
After supper we got everything cleaned up and cleaned up outside from working on the flooring we all sat down to watch something and ended up watching the new Grinch cartoon that came out last year, its on Netflix now! I glanced over and realized Deegan was watching, he cracks me up with that and he loves watching cartoons!
While we were watching the movie I noticed my brother had FINALLY gotten a facebook page going for his leather business so I thought I'd snap some pictures of the bag he made me for Christmas to share on facebook.
I thought I'd share them with you too! If you want to check out his facebook page you can click here.

My ootd Monday.
Our daily afternoon front porch sitting.
Oh this dog kills me...I got home from the grocery store and he'd pulled something off the table. I was chewing them out and he ran straight to his kennel to hide😂, Yes he also took that shoe in the kennel with him.
For lunch I had leftover Blaze pizza from the other night. Cold pizza is almost just as good as hot in my opinion!
Can you spot the second doggie??
My mom came to visit in the evening and when she was leaving we noticed this ginormous opossum just making his way through the neighbors back yard! I have seriously never seen an opossum that large!! I told Joe its probably the one he fed last winter...He has a soft spot for them😒😂.
My sweet morning puppy, got the blanket fluffed just right to cuddle up to😂.
For eyeshadow I used this eyeshadow base, I actually didn't realize it was a base until I was taking this picture for you guys😂.
I love the color though so it totally works by itself, I think I got this in one of my Ipsy bags or Birchbox.
I used this eyeliner, It's seriously my favorite! I Think it cost about $25 but its so worth it. I only buy about one a year so I don't mind spending it, I'm going to buy all the colors one at a time! You can check it out here.
So I've been trying to figure out a way to get some volume in my hair while still letting it air dry so I can use as little heat as possible. It's kind of hard to see but I pin the whole crown up making sure before I pin it that I pul all of it straight up.

It actually worked pretty well!

I used the leave in conditioner spray when I got out of the shower, then I clipped it up for about a half hour so it could kind of dry in that position, then when I took it down I sprayed some of the color proof Sea sugar beach spray and then scrunched it up and payed it "messy" to look like beach waves.
It actually worked pretty well! I'm loving finding styles at this length that I can do with using a minimum amount of heat.
My ootd - Clearly I need to clean my mirror, my mom will be so disappointed when she sees this😂.
I went to physical therapy Tuesday morning and then met my daddy at home so that he could install the new doorknob on the new bathroom door.
I realized how "adultish" I was when I got so excited about getting a new doorknob...😂.
My physical therapist warned me I might bruise from the technique she used called "scraping" and she wasn't wrong! I've been going for about a month now and for the most part its not helping so after talking to her more she's decided I need to have an MRI to get a better idea of what area specifically needs work in my shoulder and see if that will help calm the nerves in my neck.
Is this not the sweetest old man face??
Monday night I mad up a batch of my instant pot hamburger helper -you can find the recipe here.
I followed the heating instructions on my post and had it for lunch on Tuesday.
Hamburger helper, Blogging, and Law and Order.
And sweet puppy cuddles of course.
💙💙💙
Joe and I decided to have a movie night and rent the new movie The Hustle - It was pretty good but I haven't decided if I would actually buy it or not. He surprised me when he came home from work with flowers and the twistable crayons I've been eyeing...😍😍.
We put our phones in the kitchen and had an electronic free night and it was so great! I highly recommend doing it! We're going to do it one night a week from now on just to disconnect for awhile, maybe a game night, maybe a movie, it doesn't matter.
Wednesday morning I decided to use the NYX eyeshadow pallet I got from Ulta last year for my birthday gift I used the bottom right in the crease, then went in with the top color working from the inner corner of the eye out, and instead of eyeliner I used the bottom left with a liner brush.
I used the fluffy brush on the right for the crease, the middle one for the light color, and the left for the liner color.
The best mascara!
I used this on my lips, I got this when it was clearances out somewhere.
I don't know if they still sell these ones or not but I do like it!
Today was non hair washing day so I used the Living Proof dry shampoo.
I let the dry shampoo sit for about 10-15 minutes ad then rub it in, it tends to dry things out so much that I went in with this Aveda smoothing fluid (If you'd like to try out some Aveda products but don't want to commit to the price, the travel sizes are a great option! I have so much product and it takes me forever to go through it so that's what I like to do).
It's always a good idea to run your comb through your hair before you curl especially when you have dry shampoo in it!
The back after curls.
And both the sides! I used a wand curling iron and let it sit for about a half hour before I ran my fingers through it, I probably could have gotten away without running my fingers through it (accept maybe the right side...) but I wanted a little messier look.
After that I went in with the Pulp Riot hairspray.
My ootd - My $4 shirt from Stuff Etc, Be Kind t-shirt I found on amazon for like $10, silver jeans I found at goodwill for $9, and my chucks, if I actually wear shoes other than uggs these are probably it, and even these I got on sale when famous footwear had a buy one get one half price and I had like a $5 coupon on top of that!
Ok I had to share this one too when Joe pointed out Deegan peaking around me😂.
We met with a new Hematologist today! I didn't love having to go to Methodist downtown, Joe went with me this time and I'm making my mom go with me next😂.
We both really liked this one, the hematologist that I ended up with when I was in the hospital last year saw me once last July when I got home, then she pawned me off on her nurse practitioner when I was supposed to see her September without me knowing until I got to the appointment, and since then she' rescheduled me every. single. time. So I haven't seen anyone since September...When she tried to reschedule me in I think it was April I made it clear my GI dr. wanted me getting iron infusions so I did labs and she approved those...I was seriously not impressed at all...But glad my GI dr. recommended me to this one.
Leaving Methodist we ended up behind this car and the doggie was so adorable!
So I've kind of made it a thing...whenever I have a dr. appointment I should Geta treat, especially when I have to get poked with a needle, its only fair right??😉. So Starbucks it was....thats usually my choice anyways.
When mommas been gone for like 3 hours and basically your doggie life is over...
SO spoiled.
Both of them.
So
So much cuddles, but really he just wanted the bottle.
For supper we had the instant pot hamburger helper.
And can you really have hamburger helper without bread and butter??
"Come on daddy, Just give me the water bottle"
I guess the chair will do just as well.
Thursday I decided to go with the green Huda pallet.
I used the one on the far left along with the far left brush in the crease.
The middle one with the middle brush from the inner corner out to the crease.
The far right with the far right brush just on the inner corners of the eye to brighten it up a bit.
Then I went in with this smash box liner, I think this is one that I got in one of the Ipsy bags or Birchbox's.
For the lips I used this lip gloss
My ootd Thursday - I got this (and 2 others...😂) from Express a year or so ago on major clearance, I think I only paid like $8-$10 for each, my capris I got when Shopko was going out of business over in Chariton for like $10.
I ran up to Des Moines to have lunch with my mom and Aunt but had to go to the supply store to pick up some product for my mom first, I saw this sweet little guy when I pulled up to the stoplight.
After the supply store I ran to Costco to get some water and saw these for Halloween, If we decide to hand out stuff for Trick or Treating we're going to get these! the crayons are only $20 for 110.
And the play-doh was only $10 for 50. That's really an amazing price and so great for families that have allergies or just don't want their kids eating a million pieces of candy...And you know, would keep us from eating the candy before we were able to hand it out😂.
I had to make a pit stop at Starbucks on my way home...They came back out with the Mocha Cookie Crumble frappacino and its my favorite! Just incase its only seasonal I've gotta take advantage😉.
So as soon as I got home and let the dogs out...Deegan rolled in something in the yard so he was headed straight for a bath...😒. Dublin knows he always goes second and was so sadly waiting for his turn😂.
Clearly he hasn't forgiven me yet for the bath...
He didn't think I needed to finish folding the laundry apparently.
Don't you love all the energy they get after baths??
Still sadly waiting for the bath.
Is this not the cutest face ever?? He thought he got to go with momma... he wasn't happy when he realized he wasn't.
My new Hematologists decided to have me try liquid iron since I can't absorb the pill form and trying to keep me from having to have regular infusions.
This cracks me up😂.
I saw these a month or so when I was at the supply store and didn't grab it, then the last couple times I went I didn't see any so I was so excited when I saw it today! I had to get it, and she even gave me a discount so I got it for like $3, my favorite!
He didn't escape the bath...He's such a good boy though, Hopefully Deegan was taking pointers.
Joe had gym so for supper I just threw some chicken strips in the air fryer and had some chips and dip.
All this gray makes me so sad but he is such a sweet old boy.
The pillow had just fallen on the floor, he took immediate advantage for a comfy spot to chew on his bone😂.

My ootd Friday - My cute new shirt I bought from a girl I know of facebook for $5! and my express shorts.
I went with this pallet for my eyes.
For the crease I used this color with this brush.
Then I went in with this color and brush working from the inner corner out blending with the crease.
Another one I got in one of the monthly subscription boxes.
It's showing up a little lighter than it is in the picture its more like a royal to navy blue, so pretty!
For my lips I went in with this one. I feel like it didn't look as bright in the store...😂. I just use a tiny bit off the brush and then spread it around with my finger and it looks good!
I went in after that with this and it was perfect.
Trying to do some work on the computer and Deegan had other ideas, like cuddling.
I had to meet someone uptown to sell some stuff I had posted on the swap so I used that as an excuse to stop at Mayberry's and get a drink.
I wasn't feeling very well the rest of the afternoon so I just relaxed with the puppies and watched tv.
This guy cracks me up!
For supper Joe made us some spaghetti and garlic bread, I gotta say...We got just the faraway brand spaghetti sauce and we both agreed it tasted so much better than the $6 jar I bought last time...I Think the brand was RAO?
Trying to live up all the daddy cuddles.
Come on momma...Just play fetch with me, Don't feel bad for him...I did.
And clearly that was exhausting!
My ootd Saturday - I got both of these from Express when mom and I went shopping for my birthday and I think both of these were like $18? Both so comfy too!
For my lips I used this that I got at Walmart, I LOVE it!
Another one I got in one of the monthly subscriptions, I love this color, its not too shimmery but still really pretty.
The eyeliner I decided to use. I love this color! But I'll be honest I like the Marc Jacobs one better.
This sweet little guy...He never leaves my side.
I threw my towel on him when I got out and he stayed that way even the whole time Joe was taking a shower after me😂.
We had to run up to Des Moines and made a stop at Starbucks for a little breakfast date. It was a beautiful day to sit outside!
When we got home it was cooler outside than it was inside so we finally decided to open up all the windows. I've tried a couple times but it seems like even a small amount of humidity and I can't breath. Not even 5 minutes after we opened the windows Deegan jumped up here to smell the fresh air It was the cutest thing!
Keeping an eye on daddy mowing, He's gotta make sure he's doing it right.
Trying to fold laundry...and naturally he thought he needed cuddles instead.
You guys...I am SO proud of myself for how light I packed! This is our outfits for 6 days, I've gotta add a couple things but generally I overpack for both of us but especially me, Now lets hope I don't keep adding to it before Wednesday😂.
For supper Joe made us some Tuna Melts and I'm telling you, they were even better than a restaurant! To the tuna he added just a hint of minced garlic and some relish and he added a little honey mustard on the bread too. So amazing!
Don't mind me just utilizing all of my electronics😂. Joe was playing playstation so I was watching tv on the iPad while working on this recap.
Poor Dublin...he just wants a little peace and quiet and sleep.
When Deegan won't leave him alone...but he won't do anything but sit there and growl😂😂.
Before Joe laid down AROUND the dogs he informed them we got a bigger couch so we all had a spot...but they're spoiled...and we never make them move.
A little laugh to end the post...😉
Just so you know...I had to make each layer over him, the last one he just played there nice and tucked in😂.
My challenge for you this week is to do one (or maybe even more??) random act of kindness this week. You'll be amazed how great it feels to do something like that, and imagine how great it makes the other person feel as well?? I've had soo many people do this for me, and it feels so great to return the favor and pass it on.
My questions for you this week - let me know in the comments!
Whats your favorite random act of kindness you've done or someone has done for you?
Whats your favorite DIY project you've done?
Whats your favorite thing to give out for trick or treating?
I'd love to hear from you, let me know!
